Soymilk Corn Soup serves 6

  

    Method of Preparation

  1. Heat soy oil in a non-sticky pan.
  2. Sauté dried prawns, preserved vegetables and chicken ham until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth, creamy corn and corn kernels, stir well and leave to simmer until boil.
  4. Add soymilk and mix well.
  5. Add cornstarch mixture slowly and stir to thicken soup.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot

   Ingredients
  • Soy oil, 1Tbsp
  • Dried  prawns, soaked and drained,  2 Tbsps
  • Szechuan preserved vegetables, soaked, drained and finely chopped,  2Tbsps
  • Chicken ham, cubed, 100g
  • Home-made chicken broth, 400ml
  • Creamy corn, 1 cup

  • Corn kernels, ½ cup

  • Home-made Soymilk, 2 cup

  • Cornstarch, 1 Tbsps, mixed with 2 Tbsps of water

  • Salt, ½ tsp

  • Pepper, ¼ tsp


Okara is the residue left from the making of Soymilk at home. Fresh, it looks like a white, fine pulp. Okara contains some protein and is loaded with dietary fiber. Dietary fiber helps to prevent and relieve constipation and hemorrhoids. In addition, research has shown that adequate dietary fiber in a healthy diet may also cut down blood cholesterol, reduce blood sugar level and help in weight control as well as diabetic problems. Most of urban residents do not take enough fiber in their diet, this incorporating Okara in these delightful patties may be a delicious way to boost up your fiber intake.

 

Okara Chicken Patty Delight - serves 6

        Ingredients

  • Fresh Okara*, 100g
  • Skinless chicken breast, minced, 200g
  • Chinese mushroom, soaked and cubed, 3
  • Water-chest nut, pared and chopped, 3
  • Carrot, finely chopped, ½ cup
  • Spring onion, chopped, 2 stalks
  • Soy sauce, 3 Tbsps
  • Sugar, ½ Tbsps
  • Sesame oil, 2 Tbsps
  • Egg, 1 whole
  • Pepper, ¼ tsp
  • Sesame seed, 2 Tbsps
  •  Soy Oil, 2 Tbsps

* use Okara from the making of Soymilk from raw soybeans

 

      Method of Preparation

      Step 1:  Drying of Okara

  1. Preheat oven to 175 oC
  2. Place Okara on a baking sheet or aluminum foil
  3. Dry in oven for 10-15 minutes, or until Okara becomes slightly moist

      Step 2:  Okara Chicken Patties

  1. Mix Okara, chicken and all the vegetables together
  2. Add seasoning and mix thoroughly
  3. Shape Okara mixture into small patties
  4. Coat patties with sesame seed
  5. Heat soy oil in a non-sticky pan
  6. Pan fry Okara patties on medium heat until golden brown or cooked
  7. Serve hot

Soy Okara Muffins- For 12 muffins

    Ingredients

  • 11/2 cup All Purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Soy Okara,
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Soymilk
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup Soybean Oil
 

    Method of Preparation

  1. Mix Flour, soy Okara, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. Combine soy milk, eggs and oil; add to dry ingredients and mix only enough to moisten.
  3. Fill oiled muffins tins.
  4. Bake at 400° F for 20 minutes.
 

Okara Nut Bread- An Old Favorite of Farmers Serve 18

   Ingredients

  • 1 cup Okara (Okara is the pulp from making soymilk or other nut milk)
  • 1/3 cup low-fat (1%) buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar,
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder ,
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or other nuts

 

 

  Method of Preparation*

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Lightly oil a 9 x 5 x3 pan.
  3. Stir together Okara and buttermilk; set aside.
  4. Cream brown sugar and margarine together until light.
  5. Beat in egg. Add Okara mixture; beat well.
  6. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; add all at once to liquid ingredients. Stir until well blended. Stir in nuts and turn into pan.
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool 5 minutes in pan. Remove from pan and complete cooling on a wire rack before slicing.

    * 1/2 inch slice each. Cooking time: 50-55 minutes


Almond and Soybean Milk- Makes 6 glasses of milk Cooking Time 15 minutes  

   Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup of dry soybean (2/3 cup of fully soaked soybean)
  • 1/4 cup of dry almond (1/3 cup of fully soaked almond)
  • 6 cups of water
  • 2 table spoons of brown sugar or any flavor your desired (e.g. maple syrup)
 

  Method of Preparation

  1. Soak soybeans and almond for about 6 to 8 hours. Rinse them. Place all of the soaked soybean and almond into the loading compartment of the Bean Milk Maker.
  2. Pour 6 cups of water into the container.
  3. Connect the power cord into the electricity outlet.
  4. Press "ON/OFF" button on the panel.
  5. Wait until beep. Lift the machine head and take Okara for making Okara bread.
  6. Add brown sugar or other flavor into the milk.
  7. Serve hot or cold.

  Regular Plain Rice Milk / Mixed Rice and Sesame Milk

   Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup of dry grain rice
  • 2 Tbsps of dry sesame
  • 6 cups of water
  • 2 table spoons of brown
  • Maltase, cane sugar or any flavor your desired (e.g. maple syrup)

 

 

 

    Method of Preparation

  1. Place the dry rice and dry sesame into the Filter Cup.
  2. Pour 6 cups of water into the container. Water level is between the Max. and Min. water marks.
  3. Plug in the electricity sock and press ON/OFF button. Wait till beep.
  4. Lift the machine head and let the residual milk drip for a few seconds from the side of the filter. Mixed milk is ready to serve hot or let it cool down. The milk has very good pleasant smell and taste. Add your own flavor or drink plaint.
 

Rice Cake

  Ingredients

  • residual rice pulp (Muchi) from the filter cup
  • 2 Tbsps margarine
  • 4 Tbsps sugar or sweeteners

 

 

    Method of Preparation

  1. Mix the Muchi with two table spoons of margarine and four table spoons of sugar or other sweeteners as you like.

  2. Place the mix into a bowl. Place the bowl to a water steamer.

  3. Steam for 12 minutes.

  4. Put all the steamed cake-mix onto a sheet of aluminum foil or plastic cling wrap. Roll the cake-mix and make a round, long shape. Let it cool down for five minutes and slice into pieces.

  5. Ready to serve as desert or appetizer.


Tofu /Bean Curd

  Ingredients per batch

  • 1 cup of dry beans for Soymilk making
  • 6 glasses of water for Soymilk making
  • 2 Tbsps soy oil
  • Coagulant - 1 Tbsp of Nigari (natural magnesium chloride) or 2 Tbsps natural calcium sulfate
  • 1 cup of warm water to dissolve coagulant

 

About Tofu Coagulant - natural calcium sulfate and magnesium chloride are the most common tofu coagulant used. They have been used for hundreds years in Japan and China.

If you use new crop soybean, the tofu tastes even better. It is very satisfying to see tofu coming into shape from soymilk. Most every one tried it enjoys the process.

 

 

    Method of Preparation

  1. Make four batches of soy milk as per Bondi User Manual.
  2. Pour all the batches into a pot and simmer soymilk for 5 to 10 minutes. Cool down to about 170 to 180 degree F.
  3. Prepare coagulant – dissolve either one teaspoon Nigari (natural magnesium chloride) or two teaspoons natural calcium sulfate in one cup of warm water. (Less coagulant produces softer tofu, More produces harder tofu.)
  4. Pour the prepared coagulant solution slowly into the soymilk while gently stirring the soymilk. Stop stirring once 3/4 of coagulant solution is added. Wait 2-3 minutes.
  5. Gently stir the forming curds and sprinkle the last 1/4 of coagulant solution into any milky areas. If there is no milky area left, you do not need to add the rest of coagulant solution. If there is still some milky area after adding all coagulant solution, mix some more.
  6. Once all soymilk is separating into small white curds of tofu and an amber liquid (whey). Transfer coagulated dispersion into a tofu mold (or tofu box) lined with cheesecloth. Any container has many small holes in it to allow left over whey to drain can serve as a tofu mold. A lid is placed on the forming container.
  7. A small weight of 3 to 5 pounds is placed on the lid of the container and allowed to sit for 20 minutes or so. A pot of water can serve as the weight. Empty the resulting block of tofu into a tub of cold water and allow it to sit for another hour then store the tofu in refrigerator and change soaking water daily.
  8. You can eat the fresh tofu while it is still warm. I

Fragrant, fresh and easy-to-make soymilk - This recipe introduces various ways of making soymilk beverage. Soymilk has been well known to contain rich protein, vitamin A1, B1, B2, and other minerals. The fresh soymilk keeps original nutrition and is easy for human body to absorb. Soymilk is free of cholesterol and lactose. Recent research has found that soy products contain isoflavone which helps to strengthen the bone structure and helps to prevent osteoporosis and cancer.

 

Tips for making delicious soymilk

1.      Select the best Soy bean is important.  According to customer feedbacks, Japanese beans seem to be the best and give densest soy milk, then come organic beans and Korean beans. Quality of Chinese beans varies a lot.

2.      Rub to peel off the skin of the beans seems give better taste and reduce the urine acid.

3.       Always use the measuring cup to measure soybeans or rice

4.       Do not add excessive beans; otherwise, the machine could be damaged

    Method of Preparation

1.       Soak soybeans  for 6-8 hours in cool water or soak in hot water for 1 hour and rub to peel off beans skins if like

2.       Put soaked beans in the strainer filter

3.       Fill in drinking water outside of the filter sit inside the grinder container (0.6-0.8 liter)

4.       Press Function to SOAK BEANS and Press ON/OFF button

5.       18 minutes later, beep sound goes on when done.

6.       add sugar or maple syrup to the soymilk

Barley Sweet Corn beverage serves 4

   Ingredients

  • Barley ½ cup
  • Fresh Sweet corn ¾ cup
  • 1 slice of pear
  • 4 tablespoons cane sugar or  maple syrup

 

 

 

  

    Method of Preparation

1.       Wash and mix all the ingredients into the filter and fill 600-800ml of water into the blender cup.

2.       Add some drinking water in base of the kettle.

3.       Select  DRY BEANS then Press ON/OFF button

4.       Wait for beep sound to finish the process

5.       add sugar or maple syrup to the beverage

6.       pour out the drink to a clean container and drink it when it is warm

Almond Milk serves 8

   Ingredients

  • ¾ cup of dry Chinese almond
  • ¾ cup of dry Chinese almond
  • Two small slices of apple
  • 6 table spoons of brown sugar or any flavor your desired (e.g. maple syrup)

 

 

  

    Method of Preparation

1.       Put the first ¾ cup of almond inside the filter and fill up water to 600ml

2.       Select SOAK BEAN and press ON/OFF button

3.       After milk de-centrifugation and HEATING starts, press ON/OFF button to stop the machine. 

4.       Clean away the almond residual in the filter and add new ¾ cup of almonds into the filter. Fill up water to 600ml again.

5.       Select SOAK BEAN and press ON/OFF button again and wait for beep sound to finish in 18 minutes.

6.       add sugar or maple syrup to the 1200ml almond milk

   Ingredients

  • ¾ cup black glutinous rice
  • 2 to 3 pcs of longan (seedless)
  • 5 to 6 pcs of seedless red dates
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar or maple syrup
  • Coconut milk

  

    Method of Preparation

1.       Wash and put all into the filter and fill up water into the blender cup 600-800ml.

2.       Can also add 1 slice of apple optional.

3.       Press DRY BEANS and ON/OFF button

4.       Wait for beep sound to finish

5.       add sugar or maple syrup

6.       add coconut milk if you like

Lou Hon Guo + Ginseng Root + Red Dates Beverage serves 4

   Ingredients

  • 2 pcs of Lou Ho Guo (remove the skin )break open the flesh of Lou Hon Guo.
  • Ginseng root a little
  • 5 to 6 pcs of seedless red dates
  • A bit of glutinous rice
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar

  

    Method of Preparation

1.       Wash and put all the ingredients into the filter.

2.       Fill up 600-800ml water into blender cup.

3.       Press function for SOAK BEANS and start by pressing ON/OFF button.

4.       Wait for beep sound to finish

5.       Add some sugar to drink.

   Ingredients

  • ½ cup dry soybeans
  • ½ cup chrysanthemum
  • 8 tps of honey

Tips

Add honey only after done and wait for Soymilk is not too hot to prevent sourness tastes

  

    Method of Preparation

1.       Wash and put all the ingredients into the filter.

2.       Fill up 600-800ml water into blender cup.

3.       Press function for DRY BEANS and press ON/OFF button to start.

4.       Wait for beep sound to finish

5.       Add honey when Soymilk is not too hot

   Ingredients

  • mixed Chinese almond, soy beans and black beans into ½ cup
  • 6 tablespoons brown or black sugar

 

  

    Method of Preparation

1.       Mixed all the ingredients altogether ½ cup

2.       Wash and put all into the filter and fill water into the blender cup up to 600-800ml.

3.       Press function for DRY BEANS and start by pressing ON/OFF button.

4.       Wait for beep sound to finish

5.       Add some black sugar to the drink.

5.       Add sugar to the drink.
